Usually my guests ask me for a transfer to/from Florence and I pick them up whether at the airport as soon as they land in Italy (Rome Fiumicino airport, Milan Malpensa airport, Lake Como, Venice, Pisa, Florence) or at the accommodations (hotel, B&B, apartment) and I drop them off at the new destination.
They like to optimize their time in Italy going cross-country with sightseeing along the way and they don’t want to waste the transfer day.
In this way, they save the hassle of hauling luggage on and off the train, they don’t have to worry about directions, they don’t need to check schedules of trains and they don’t have to cross their fingers about strikes of the public transportation:)
Between Florence and Rome
Siena, San Gimignano, Orvieto, Val d’Orcia and the wine regions of Tuscany ( Chianti, Brunello, Vino Nobile) are located between Florence and Rome and my Guests usually choose three destinations for sightseeing and tastings.
Between Florence and Cinque Terre
In a transfer between Florence to Cinque Terre (or vice versa) my Guests visit usually Pisa and Lucca.

I’m not a travel agent so I don’t plan your transfer day, though I would be very happy to pick you up and drop you off wherever you need.
